Lucky Country Trained Puppy Program
What is a trained puppy?
The Lucky Country Trained Puppy Program / Puppy Kindergarten, provides a path to dog ownership for families that desire a dog that is older, and has a firm grasp of commands that are necessary for dogs to have in our world. A trained dog should be able to reliably complete the following in any setting regardless of possible distractions.
- sit
- down
- stay
- place
- loose leash walking
- reliable recall
- completely crate trained
- house trained with potty bell
- grooming salon manners
- comfortable car passenger
For puppies to enter a training program, they are a minimum of 4 months of age, and will have graduated from our started puppy program.
LUCKY COUNTRY PENNY LANE
Lucky Country Penny Lane (AKA Penny) is our current pup that is enrolled in our trained puppy program. She is well on her way to mastering all of the benchmarks that we require a dog to have to qualify. Penny was born May 22, 2024. She is fully vaccinated, with full health clearances from our vet. She will mature to about 55 pounds, with a straight fleece coat, with quite possibly the longest eye lashes of any pup we have had here at Lucky Country!!! Penny tested with our trainer as mid energy. She would do well with children and other dogs, She adapts well to varying degrees of activity. She is comfortable going on long walks and plays fetch, and at the same time is just as comfortable sitting with her people.
