Lucky Country Testing Criteria

It is no secret that the whole world has gone "doodle crazy"!!!!! When we got our first Australian Labradoodle back in 2007, labradoodles were the only doodle breed out there. Forward to now and you will see any dog crossed with a poodle. We dedicate program to Australian Labradoodles, ONLY, and have, since we started in 2010,  concentrated on the highest testing standards available. We think that this is paramount to any breeding program regardless of breed. We post all of our testing with each dog we have, and do the same for dogs that are outside of our program. We supply copies of all health testing upon request.

The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals is a testing foundation that we utilize for testing our hips, knees, patellas, cardiac function, and the canine eye registry foundation for our parents prior to breeding, We test our dogs hips twice-  when they are young for preliminary results,  and again when they are 2 years old prior to breeding. While not necessary, we feel that OFA final tests, since they are closely reviewed by three radiologists instead on one, give a more comprehensive opinion of the structure of the dog.  All of our dogs testing can be verified on the OFA website. Our dogs are awarded certificates and testing numbers. Numbers are listed on our website, and copies of ALL testing are provided to every new puppy owner.

Canine Health Information Center

The OFA created the Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) by partnering with participating parent clubs to research and maintain information on the health issues prevalent in specific breeds. We’ve established a recommended protocol for breed-specific health screenings. Dogs tested in accordance with that protocol are recognized with a CHIC number and certification.


All Lucky Country breeding dogs, once they turn two, will have a CHIC designation number. We feel that it is important that data gathered from this program be accessible to buyers and breeders alike.
